Deathly Hallows: Part 2 makes $481.5 million in first weekend box office worldwide

The final and updated box office numbers for this July weekend were released, and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2, which had already broken several records since its release, in fact took in more than it was estimated on Sunday. On the international scale, Deathly Hallows: Part 2 took in $481.5 million - $5 million more than originally projected - and brought in $169.2 million in the United States and Canada, slightly more than the original $168.6 million forecast.

Warner Bros also released a 'now playing' TV commercial for Deathly Hallows: Part 2, featuring never-before-released clips of Harry and Voldemort's fight, and of Neville killing Nagini with Gryffindor's sword. That can be viewed here.
